2:20 PM: Got a call about southbound orcas that – if they don’t change their direction – might soon be visible off Alki Point. We’re heading off to look; let us know if you see them.

    Our boat is out with whale right now. There are some near Stuart Island and some transient orcas out by Pender Island. Yesterday, we saw a group of 7 tranisent orca whales swimming in a tight group near Salt Spring Island. We were with them for about 1/2 hour. They repeatedly came up and stayed in the same area. What a treat!
