Beluga whale spotted at Georgetown wharf | peicanada.com – news that matters to prince edward island

A rare sighting of what appears to be a beluga whale off Georgetown wharf last week has been the talk of the town among local fishermen and others in the community.
A beluga whale hasn’t been spotted in PEI waters since one was observed in the Hillsborough River in the summer of 2009.
The marine mammal, which is on the endangered species list, was first sighted by Georgetown fishermen.
